The first night of sleep was disturbed by me waking up about every 2 hours, with my body thinking it is time for dinner... At 830 to Anje (our partner, and I don't know how to spell his name, so I am trying a phonetic spelling)
We discussed the activities for the day, and we then left for the retreat center where we are spending the majority of our trip. The retreat center is beautiful... It is about an hour away from Warsaw and what a beautiful drive it was... Driving through the small country roads of Poland, looking through the forests, thinking about how much

modern history took place here. From the Holocaust to the Iron Curtain, more thought and culture shaping events have taken place in this country then many of the other countries of Europe.
Well, after we got to the retreat center we had a lunch full of beets, cabbage, and potatoes... Yeah... really light stuff... As we ate we got to know the pastors we are working with this week. And all I have to say is that I am incredibly impressed. This very well may be the first country I feel like the pastors are properly equipped, emotionally healthy, and are battling to become be more like Christ. They have continually impressed Bill & Monte in their pursuit of understanding the gospel of grace and how discipleship fits in.
Last night before the night session I had a chance to walk around and take some pics...
Here are a few...
